The idea comes from a prose by Wei-lian Yeh:"Upon the undulating flows there appear twinkling lights from sailing boat. Here is a star like beacon waving its sign for our future route. Entering the door and walk into a hallway is like a trip seeking personal enlightenment. Designers embellish the door of bedroom and bathroom by a hidden door, doors merge with the wall which symbolize wave. The different direction bevel on the wall symbolize we watch the wave by different direction. It is a feeling like actually moving on top of a boat and walking down below sea level.

本案的敘事觀點是來自作家葉維廉的一篇散文：「讓我們摸著夜的衣角，……覓路穿行在夜的深沉裡。」從入口行進到主空間是一段覓路的過程，雖然走在無採光的通道，卻是一趟神秘的夜行，一首看海的前奏。設計師將海的動態化為廊道牆面上真實存在的浪，用俯視、平視、仰視等來自四面八方的觀看角度，將浪的立體起伏活然躍於牆上。
